Viehscheid Festival Oberstdorf event
A colourful festival at the end of the summer season. Around 1,000 animals are expected in Oberstdorf, coming from the high mountain valleys of the Alps.
Spectators gather at the Nordic Centre in the Ried, from where there is a good view of the Scheidplatz, where the animals are returned to their owners.
This colourful autumn festival with the sound of bells and the scent of Alpine herbs is accompanied by music, delicious beer and real Bavarian sausages.
